OEZ Standard
You shouldn't have to pay for zone management.

OEZ is a free, open standard for evacuation zones. Bring the zones you've already drawn, keep the mapping and alerting tools you already run — including Esri ArcGIS® Online — and stop renting expensive zone-management software.

Why OEZ exists

You already have the tools. They just didn't talk to each other.

Every jurisdiction has invested in GIS and alerting platforms, but for years those tools haven't spoken the same language. So you copy your zones out of one system and re-draw them in the next, by hand, every time something changes, usually in the middle of an incident. OEZ ends that. Adopt the standard and the tools you already own read and write the same zones automatically. Nothing to rip out, nothing new to learn.

P / 01

Use the tools you already own.

OEZ is built to work with the standard GIS and alerting platforms in your stack today. Every zone-management operation you already do, you keep doing, in the same software, with nothing to replace.

P / 02

Make your existing zones compatible.

Your zones are already drawn. Bring them as they are and make them OEZ-compatible in a single pass. You are not redrawing a thing, just describing what you have in a format everything else can read.

P / 03

Stop re-uploading zones by hand.

When a zone changes, the change carries through on its own. No more hand-copying a map file into your alerting system while the clock runs. Update it once and every connected tool already has it.

P / 04

Designed and reviewed by you.

Your zones are authored by your team and reviewed alongside our in-house team, in a simple, open, transparent process. And honestly: you shouldn't be paying a vendor for a GIS file on a map that anyone can make.

What OEZ is

Simple on purpose. So everything can read it.

An OEZ zone is just a plain description of an evacuation area that every system can understand: what the zone is called, who's in charge of it, whether it's an advisory, warning or order, and when it last changed. Nothing more complicated than that.

It's free and open for anyone to use — no special software to buy, no vendor to license it from, nothing to lock you in. The mapping and alerting tools you already run read it directly.

How adoption works

One conversation. Working zones within the hour.

There's no migration project and no new platform to learn. You reach out, we get your zones working for you almost immediately, and a complete OEZ-compatible setup follows shortly after, at which point the expensive custom zone-management software you've been renting quietly stops being necessary.
